Welcome

As Head of School, I extend a warm welcome on behalf of Ethelred Nursery School & Children’s Centre. We have been delivering Early Years provision for children since 1975 and Children Centre services for families since 2004. At Ethelred, children are at the centre of all that we do and we are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to secure the best outcomes for our children and their families.

Our website provides information about who we are, what we believe and what we provide for children and families in our local area.
Our nursery provision offers free places to children who are 3 and 4 years old and we also provide additional places for 2 year olds under the early learning offer. Paid places are also available. If you are looking for a nursery place for your child please contact us on the details below, or complete the simple form here. You can find out more about the help available with funding your childcare on the Government website Childcare Choices.

Our Children’s Centre works in partnership with health and other providers to deliver family services, drop-ins and training courses. If you need any family or personal support or advice you can complete a self referral form via the Lambeth website or call the Ethelred number directly and one of our Better Start team will be in touch.

Please visit the
Healthy Start website to find out if you can apply for vouchers to help buy some basic foods.

If you are interested in joining our volunteer programme please

As a school we are delighted to be recognised by Early Excellence as a Partner School for 2024/25, to host events and share good practice in our area. Early Excellence are a highly regarded organisation that promote inspirational learning, offering School Improvement & Bespoke Consultancy as well as educational resource solutions focused on early primary EYFS & KS1.

We welcome visits and enquires, so please contact us on 0207 582 9711 to arrange a visit and seek further information or contact our admin officer for any paper copies you might find useful.

We look forward to hearing from you.
